Smart lockers securely store and distribute tenant mail and packages 24 hours a day without an attendant. When mail delivery personnel place a letter or box in a locker, the recipient is automatically notified via text, email, or app notification and can be picked up at any time with the supplied code or barcode. Locker systems can be infinitely expanded to fit any size apartment or condo building. Locker units can be installed indoors or outdoors with the optional canopy to protect from rain and weather. Temperature-controlled lockers can also be added to any parcel locker configuration to provide convenient heated or cooled compartments.
Physically, the smart locker systems consist of a bank of modular lockers, with one of the lockers dedicated to housing the system hardware and power supply. A typical bank of parcel lockers is comprised of columns, with each column consisting of either six small lockers per column, a mixture of five or six small and medium lockers per column, or two large lockers per column. Each column features a proprietary locking raceway that incorporates the required number of smart locking devices for the number of lockers in each column. Electronic locker systems are available in a variety of finishes to complement or match the environments in which they are installed.
