Model Group Design
This ingenious storage system consists of instantly adjustable pallet racks and a robust gantry crane. The pallet racks work with special steel pallets that slot directly into the rack using tabs on the back of the pallet and the pins in the frame upright; this allows for pallets to be stacked as tightly as possible without wasted air space above or below traditional fixed beam pallet racks. The pallets may be instantly repositioned using the full-length forklift pockets on the bottom of each pallet.
The gantry crane can span over one or two aisles of shelving and can quickly and safely retrieve pallets without using a forklift. A single operator can easily store or move pallets weighing up to 6000 lbs. with minimal training and no required license. The crane can also increase productivity by reducing the number of workers needed to retrieve or store pallets and by improving the travel time for new parts or materials from rack to assembly line. Without the required forklift turn radius, the aisles between shelving units can be reduced, freeing up even more valuable floor space. The pallet crane is also much safer for workers because it eliminates the possibility of forklift accidents or injuries.

- 3/8" steel, fully welded construction with a 12 gauge steel top plate
- Includes full-length forklift pockets to prevent tipping
- Pallet tops are pre-punched for bolt-on-pallet options
- Pallet front features a flat hook on either side to align and lock with pallet rack uprights
- Pallet back includes a bar tab on each side to engage with pallet rack uprights

Pallet Racks
- Constructed on 10 ga. roll formed angle steel
- Front uprights include 1/2" diameter bolts spaced 4" O.C. for pallet alignment
- Back uprights have 2.5" tall slots cut every 4" O.C. to receive pallet tabs
- Each upright includes a base plate (7 1/4" W x 6" D x 3/8" H) with two 5/8" holes for anchor bolts
- Finished with a high-quality powder coat in Traffic Black (RAL 9017)
- Each rack includes rear and top bar steel x-braces to prevent swaying
- Each pallet rack bay is rated up to 36000 lbs. (18000 lbs. for seismic 4 zones)
